Corporate Annual Return Filing

$82.50

Annual Returns are annual filings required for all existing Alberta corporations, non-profit groups, and societies. Each year, a reminder notice will be sent to the email address currently on file. The reminders are dispatched roughly one month before your anniversary date.

Timely filing of your annual returns is crucial for maintaining your company’s active status. Not complying will ultimately lead to its removal from the register, incurring substantial extra expenses to restore it to good standing. In the case of a company, this process is referred to as a revival.

While filing your annual return, you can revise any address, director, or shareholder details, among others. For corporations, if shares have been issued, the five highest shareholders must be documented in the corporate records.

Keeping your company information updated is not just mandatory; it also serves your best interests. You are accountable for being able to obtain significant announcements from different tiers of Government and potentially from members of the community. Failing to do so may lead to considerable additional expenses for your company.

Please note that filing your annual return is distinct from filing your tax return, which is submitted to the Revenue Canada.
