No. To be eligible for a Class 5 basic road test, you must hold a learner’s licence for at least 12 months. Completing driving school does not reduce this waiting period. You may book your test in advance for a date that meets the eligibility requirement.
You must provide a safe, roadworthy vehicle with fully functioning lights, brakes, signals, horn, seatbelts, windshield wipers, and speedometer. The vehicle must be clean, free of warning lights, and have no windshield damage that interferes with visibility. Final approval is determined by the road examiner.
If a road test is cancelled because of unsafe weather conditions, you will be able to reschedule the test at no additional cost.
